Nitrous is for drag racers it has NO USE on the street. Get a CAI, Catback Exhaust, and headers.

Unless you drive a 3 cylinder Geo Metro and you need passing power on the interstates. I had a 30 shot dry nitrous when I had the 3 cylinder just for that reason. That car maxed out at about 80 MPH and with a nitrous shot at 80 mph I could get to 90 real quick to pass people.

and other mods wont blow your motor?
and for $300, a 75 shot of N20 is NOT going to blow your motor up.
name me other mods that total $300 that gives you 75 hp?
you can have your opinion on nitrous. but what it comes down to is this... you do what you can with what you have. if you win with N20, well you won. if you win N/A, well you won. if you win with a turbo, well you won.
it doesnt matter HOW you get there, it only matters if you make it there FIRST.

cai = ~$125
exhaust = ~$350
headers = ~$700
spending ~$1175 for 30hp and its not even installed yet, priceless

YEAH $1175 CONSTANT 30HP VS $600.00 FOR A COUPLE SECONDS WITH 50 MORE HP, THEN REFILLING THE BOTTLE.
What would you rather have 30hp all the time or 50hp at the flick of a switch? and the 50hp at a flick of a switch starts to cost more money after a couple bottles.

i have 55 shot of zex on my car and its great...just get cloder plugs and ur good...an dit only cost me 26$ to fill up my bottle....i refill about twice a month...so 55 HP for 26 dollars is worht it to me!
300+52 per month x 17 months = 1184. so you get almost 1.5 years worth of more power whenever you want it
lets not forget about the $100 to install your exhaust and the $400 most shops would charge for install of the headers. so for another $500, you would get another 12 months of N20
and like i said before... it doesnt matter how you get to the end, it matters who gets there first. period.
and besides, for the amount of money your spending on headers and all that other stuff to make you "fast" N/A..... i will have spent half that and still be 3 secs faster in the 1/4 than you because i invested my money in something that gives me 200 hp all the time
but again, it only matters who makes it to the finish line first.

I'd rather spend the money and avoid nitrous. I have seen 1 too many motors blow up due to nitrous. Plus to me, nitrous is sooooo "Fast & Furious" and import, lol
n2o is very safe.
the reasons why things blow up is from a crap install or a dumb*ss that cant keep his finger off the button long enough to pop his pimples or slapping a 200 shot on.
and if you dont like n2o thats cool with me, i personally dont use it nor plan on it. but just just because n2o was glorified in the FnF and because a lot of imports use it and you think its cheating, that doesnt make it wrong for everyone.
and everyone is allowed to have their opinion and it doesnt make it wrong.
but you CANT deny the fact that N2O is cheap and easy power. it is the best bang for the buck and i dont think that is very arguable.

See that's my point. More then likely the people using it are not going to know how to do it the right way. They are going to keep hitting the button to the point the motor jumps outta the car and says screw you! The best and cheapest thing to do is leave the motor alone.

germ, you have to learn to look past vtolds comments, it should almost be apart of the "user agreement" when you register on this site
btw, where can you get n2o for $300? i was always under the impression it was about 575-600, but ive never been in the market for it. wonder if thats a used kit. you also run into install with the n2o, or is that easy to install?
if i could get 70 shot wet installed for 300 id be all over it. unlike multiple bolt on's, its easily removed when you sell the car, and no one has to know it was there.
