Hello

First of all this is great Alero site.

I have owned Alero 2.4 4d y 2000 for one month so far.
I live in Europe / Finland so mine Alero is Chevrolet.

Welcome to the site. Not sure why they just didn't call it the oldsmobile alero out in Europe. FYI, it was named Chevorlet Alero before Oldsmobile went down.

Why has Alero newer been sold as Oldsmobile in EU?
Thats becouse of the dealership policy of GM. It was about 20 years or so since Oldsmobile brand has been sold here in Finland.

My earlyer GM cars was Chevy -55 and Caprice Classic stw -85.

download rapscallion.jpg and rename it to rapscallion.ttf and drop it in your windows/fonts directory >8)

I had to name it .jpg cuz the site I stored it on wouldn't take it any other way.

Yep it`s Chevy here in Finland. Here is the front emblem of my Alero.

Yeap, you can still find some with the Olds emblems. there was a guy in germany that bought the emblems for the Alero and took off the chevy crap. The funny thing is that the steering wheel still has the Olds symbol, not chevy. Go figure...


Amh, you should do the same. Have a real Oldsmobile. ;)

Hi

Yes the steering wheel has the olds emblem as well as the origanl alloys, that came for summer tires when i bought my Alero.
There is allso chevrolet letters in the back side of the car.
By the way, thats why i try to send a photo of the emblem, because it shows some how both chevy and olds emblems in one emblem. Hope you understand what i ment :wacko:

I know what you mean, the german fellow sent me a pic like that to show me. Its really cheesy. they should have just left everything Olds. or change everything to Chevy. Looks like the dealer has to do it when they get the car in Europe. I've heard that there are a lot of Alero's sold in Russia.
