Will Engine From 2003 3400 Go Into The 99

Call me stupid but I was talking to a guy about getting an engine and he said that the 2003 v6 wont go into the 99. Is this true? If it is why?

i dont see any reason why it wouldnt.

everything is the same except for the egr mounting design, but the plug in for the EGR's are the same and function the same.

all is good, so get the 03 engine.

And you'll have to make sure you use your old injectors. I don't think the 99's ECM will like the newer Multec 2 injectors

my 96 PCM likes them just fine, but you have to have the PCM coded for the BIGGER injectors since the 99's have 19# and the 00+ have 22#.

if you use your stock injectors you will be fine.
