Performance Chips And Speed Governor

I know that ASE chips made a chip for my old car it added 19hp, 24 tq tok off the governor, and added 500 RPM. Does anyoine know of a powerchip for our ecotecs or something that will at least remove the governor because it has held me back plenty of times?? :pissed: :pissed: :blink:

there is nothing out for the eco at this time.

there something that might becoming available this year. but that depends on PCM pinouts and it is a computer program so you can reprogram your computer.

Is there any more info out about this yet? if so pm me... i plan on getting the haas turbokit in a few monthes, so i will be in need of such a device B)

I need to get rid of my speed limiter too. I hate stopping at 107. That can't be good for the tranny. Let me know too about the computer program if you get any info.

so does the 2.4 well there were a couple with the euro PCM in them which did not. but they are far and few between

I have an 03 ecotec and it shuts off after 109.
And I really dont need it any higher because I dont ever go this fast.

to the kid with the quad four, not to sound like a dick, but i have owned a quad four alero before my ecotec and it definately cut out bogged at 107 mph, it all has to do with the PCM

Hey 5spd Alero. I bet your ecotec is faster than your quad four too aint it? I've go an auto and i think it gets up and goes, i just cant imagine how big of a difference a five speed would be.

I have an eco 5spd lol

yes it is a big difference becasue my old quad four was a five speed, and oh yeah, i do go faster then your quad four(unless you have nitrous, forced induction, or 2 grand under the hood). I bet you that up to my very crappy 107-109, i will be beating u

my bad i thought that super white said that last statement, to 03 ecotec, the five speed is a pretty big difference, i raced a ecotec coupe when i was all stock and so was it, i won by about 3 cars, a week ago i raced an ecotec malibu, and i won by about 6, i have things done now

^^ dude chill out, Im not diagreeing with ya about the ectotec not being faster than the a quad 4. Im justsaying that my don't cut out till about 115-117 which is nearly 120 on the speedo. And no I don't have 2K under the hood.............................................. .....yet.
