they sound good. Badassgrandam99 has an 80 series on his car, and i heard it a few times. If I didn't get a good deal on my SLP used, I would have gotten the 80.

Its not cheaper by any means. SLP you get 2.5" mandrel bent piping with no resignator, muffler, tips and all hardware for install.

I myself are not a big fan of flowmaster. It has the crappiest flow rateing compared to SLP or magnaflow.

Isn't Magnaflow made by Flowmaster?

You can hear it but it's never bothered me, especially with the stereo on.

well i love my flowmaster and with mine nstalled and evrything done it was cheaper than slp, and since iv put my CAI on it seems to be louder, it sounds awesome now, i dis agree that flowmaster has worst flow, if so y do all high performace cars like camaros have nuttin but flowmaster? its simply the best

Not all high performance cars have flowmaster. Its a little different with a V8 anyway. We really nead the highest flowing muffler we can find and magnaflow is it.

once again........ no1 on here makes enuff power or flows enuff air for the muffler to make a huge impact on the power output of the motor. most all name brands will bring u the same gains...... ie..... dynomax, flowmaster, magnaflow.

the biggest difference in mufflers will be the sound they produce.

go to general performance and look for the post about this...read what I said there. I'd say go with Magnaflow. I'm pretty damn sure that they are not made by Flowmaster, and they flow more by far. Just because it says flow in the name, doesn't mean they're related. They are owned by Car Sound Exhaust Inc. (they make catalytic converters). And yes, flow does matter for these cars. No offense, but I haven't heard of anyone with non-V8 engines talking about Flowmasters as an option for quite some time. As I said before, good luck man.

I have the 80series and i love it. I paid TOTAL with tips, muffler, and install about $180 from the local Meineke Muffler shop. They did a good job and it sounds GREAT! I suck at noticing performance gains because idk if its psychological or not but im sure it helped at least a lil bit. Go for it, it's like 3X cheaper than any other kit!

Its cheaper then any other kit because its only a muffler. SLP you get all new 2.5 inch piping. But if your not going to be dumping $ for engine mods for your alero and only want the sound. Buy the 80 series. I own the SLP, But i have a little turbo project going on right now and need hi-flowing non-restrictive exhaust.

P.S. Custom 2.5" Test Piping to replace cat in the works.

WWW.EBAY.COM (http://WWW.EBAY.COM) are you too lazy to put the www and .com around ebay.

And as for the flowmaster website, all you have to do is type in flowmaster in any web search engine and its the first link that pops up. http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/cgi-bin/flowmaster

question for those who have the 80 on.

Im going to be installing the 80 with 2.5" pipe from the cat back. My question is about the o2 sensors. From what ive read we have 2. one up and one down of the cat. I was thinking of putting in a high flow cat with 2.5" in/out. for those of u who have the 80 what did u guys do with your cat and your o2 sensors?

you'll need to get o2 simulators basically. The exhaust shop where I got mine done told me basically that i wont notice anything going from 2" to 2 1/2" pipe from the cat back..this is coming from someone who could EASILY have made money off me by saying "ya, you'll notice a huge difference" but they were honest so i believe them. I just got the muffler put on and some bent pipe after it to make duals and the resinators cut off (made a HUGE difference) it sounds amazing and i LOVE it..i'd say stick w/ 2" its a LOT cheaper and basically the same
