im close to being ready to install the carputer i got off aleromaster, after i get the basic operating disks from him within the next couple weeks, and i was just curious what programs might be worth getting to run, i know theres not a whole lot outside of windows and windows media player, but any ideas? i plan to add an OBD2 here soon in the next couple months, anyone know a way to possibly set it up to run my neons off the carputer ? thats the one that has me most confused cause id like to if possible have as much as possible operated through the computer but cant figure out how to get around it all....

Check this site out.

Plenty of fancy carputer software front ends in the forums.
And lots of carputer help/information. It's the best carputer site I was able to find

A laptop will make it easier but a carputer can be hidden in the glove box or trunk and you would just put the monitor up front. A laptops too big, unless its one of those really small Sony Vaios.
