Override security feature??

does naybody know ofa way of overriding that damn security feature?
Mine light has come on a few times (realize I should take it in and have it fixed) but I was wondering if there is way we can kill that feature. 2 times now I've started my car and it doesn't catch right away, ten my security light blinks for 10 minutes, not allowing me to start the car...even though I have the damn key in the ignition. .......any help on this?....or do I bite the bullet and take it in..

It sounds like your starter kill is engaged, you really should take this one to the dealer. It could be anything from an ignition lock cylinder to a PCM.

Damn. I was hoping to hear of some miracle fix solution..

mine was doing that took it to the dealer put in a new ignition switch and the problem is fixed was only like 60 bucks

60$ American...That's a Quater million canadian. hehehe
