Has anyone installed any of the MSD Ignition Systems? If so, which model works on 3.4L V6's? I am looking into buying one and any input or advice will also be appreciated.

I have it and its been on for over a year. In my opinion it's not worth it unless you have forced induction. The only thing I noticed with it is about 2 MPG on the interstate.
You need the DIS-4 PN# 6215 and 3 coil interface modules PN# 8870. Your looking at $330 for the DIS-4 and about $35 each for the coil interface modules for a total of $435. There are many other mods you can get that give you better performance for the money.

From my research I did when I had my Ciera with the 3100, I found out that changing the ignition isnt really worth it since the stock ignition actaully makes alot of power and you wont really notice a difference.

you need to ride in sc/alero's car
box comes with a bypass plug so its really easy to show with and without performance

Here's some pics. As far as why your popping fuses I have no idea. The only issue that I had with mine was during the installation. I was going off of the diagram for the interface modules and it had the wiring wrong. I called MSD like 3 times before they finally figured it out. It would start and run with the bypass plug but not with the ignition connected. Swapped the wires around and its been running great since.
