Hey anyone got a good idea of how to not only protect stuff in the trunk from getting stolen but also makin trunk look sweet. I just got my system stolen couple weeks ago (its ok i got stuff worth more back, good old state farm) I was thinkin of buildin a frame outa wood, to go on both sides trunk, build supports top and bottom, puttin plexyglass over top, like a covering, throwing some neons in there, and BOLTING it to the floor of the trunk. I got tools needed, and i can get anythin i need vinyled or carpted for free  , if u Guys/Girls have any ideas run them by me, Im lookin mainly for something to cover the system, and make it hard to get out but also look tight.

I know someone, who has a system that if the alarm is engaged, and you touch the system, you get like some hundreds of thousands of volts or something...

rev are you sure someone did that? i seriously think that much voltage running through the box would mess with the signals put out by the amps or speakers. not to mention drain the battery. i suppose it might be possible, but i'm still skeptical.
--(keep in mind that during the holocaust the concentration camps used 400,000V to keep the jews in. that was enough to melt skin. a decent 1000-5000 burst would blow you hand back and tighten up the muscles in your arm for a few seconds)

anywho... personally, i'm thinking of making the bottom piece of the box cut so they fit tightly against the wheel well of the trunk. (where it kinds curves in a little) so you'd be yank'n on the box trying to get it out, but it won't budge unless you take it apart. (by which time the thief gets ye ol' crow bar to the side of his knee....
( or get jackal to send a few SAW warning shots by him... LOL)

u could do what im doin, incorporate it into the framework sorta, its hard to explain but simply put, its the metal right behind the rear seats where it kind of protrudes into the opening (i think thats where they welded some of the frame together at?) but newho it will be one hella tough time for crooks to get my subs out, and the amp will be secured with 1.5inch screws so those would take a little time to get out. what im doin is making a piece of wood to fit into the opening and then putting a backing strip on the opposite side w/ that metal part in between to keep the box stable and stay put, also im carpeting the entire section behind the rear seats with my color theme, so it wont be so easy to tell the box is held down

yeah, it's a kid here in town, Ill see if I can't find out how he did it. And I'm not sure it was thousands, that's what my friend said and he likes to exadurate. And he has an extra battery just for the system.
