Alright midwest people, hear me out. What does everyone think about taking a 3 or 4 day weekend trip somewhere? Others are included as well. Just to go somewhere, have fun, mingle, relax, whatever you know. Just have a goold old time. Like doing it from A Friday to Sunday or Thursday night to Sunday night. And go where the majority of the vote rules. And plan accordingly?

I'll only really will be able to do that after the new year due to the fact that I'm planning on going to Jamaica sometime next year because I think I get two weeks vacation...I think it sounds fun.

Sounds fun, but, no offense to anyone here, if I had the time and money to do that, it wouldn't be with a bunch of people I've never met and barely know. My vacation days are small in number and very precious to me.

I wouldnt plan on any 3 or 4 day trips like this till after the new year. Probably more like summer or fall. Too soon after jan 1st would probably be too soon for some, for the money of spending on gifts, and traveling to visit family or friends out of town.

The idea was geared more towards the Chicago, Wisconsin and Indiana people. Or those who have gone to some of the chicago meets on a regular basis, or we most of know the other person, and would feel comfortable going on an extended weekend trip., Anyone else who would like to join us would be great too. NOt turning anyone down on this. but it would be cool to just get away, have fun, and meet more people or just reunite with ones we have seen before.

Put down any ideas where a 3-4 day trip would be great to do. I think putting down places that include the city life for those who like to party and just like the city life and something for the country folk who just like to hike, and do outdoor things, would be great. to compromise for everyone.

I'm not really sure on some places. But i'm thinking cause I can't expect everyone to throw out 2000 grand to go somewhere. Also I'll check out travel deals. If anyone is interested in a 4 day 3 night cruise they sometimes have good deals. Or just even if just the chicago and wisconsin people want to do this, Wisconsin dells for the entire weekend would be great too. :-)

I really don't think it was meant to spend a whole week with people you've never met before. It was an idea and Stock00alero wanted to get an opinion on it. Speaking of those in the Chi-town area, we're all pretty close anyhow...so I really wouldn't mind spending some of my vacation with them.

Well I guess if you guys are actually buds and hang out lots then it makes sense. Just for me my 3 weeks of vacation a year are bloody prescious to me and they get spent with my friends/family/gf. :)
