Hello,
I have a 99 Alero with the stock 15" steel wheels. I really like the look of the State Police Chevy Malibu's with the flat black wheels and a chrome or argent center cap. Will an Intrigue center cap fit my stock wheel? I know the blot pattern will be the same but I didn't know about the diameter of the center cap fitting over my lug nuts?

this is the Intrigue center cap attached

thanks for the input but what part of my wheel has sides? It looks to me like the area where the lug nuts go is round.
Plus after looking at these caps on the real wheels, these caps might be cupped too much and not sit flat.
This is what I would really like to have. It came from the Impala police carshttp://www.buyhubcaps.com/ebay/lmimpala.JPG

Does the intrique have a different bolt pattern? if they dont use the whole wheel from the intrique.

the intrigue is 5x115mm but I don't want to spend the money for the whole wheel. Owners treat them like gold when they go to sell them.
Gregg
oh well, I'll go hit up the $15 hubcaps and move on.

Wait, you just have the steelie rims? Not the 15 inch Aluminum 6 spoke rims? Cause if so, that cap should fit on somehow (duct tape? glue?)

yep, plain jane steelies. There is a guy on ebay that has them for 410 plus shipping. I'll probably buy one and test it out. if it doesn't work I'll just relist it.

Well if it is just the cap, the bolts will match up no problem since they both have the 5 X 115 Bolt pattern. The only issue is whether or not there is enough depth in the center cover to go around the bolts.

Although it may not work, it was a great idea. I like the looks of those plain black wheels with the center cap on the police impala's also. But I hate to see Alero's that have the steel wheels with a missing hubcap. It makes them look like crap. If your idea works it should look pretty good though.

thanks. I broke one hubcap and had to take them all off. missing one was a sad site. I also realised that it came out looking like 410 and not $10. missed the shift key I guess.
I'll let ya know how it works out.
