Exhaust Cut-out [Archive]

Hey everyone. I've been looking at these exhaust cut-out systems, ya know, they make it where your car has a stock exhaust or a fully open exhaust at the push of a button. I was just wondering if anyone has ever had this done to their car or heard what our car sounds like with it done? I'm really interested in getting one. Thanks.

I heard that most of them are pretty unreliable. Works a couple of times, then quits. But, eh, go for it!

I've heard that some of them break too. But which one is it? I've seen the cable one for sale around for a long time but I recently came across an electric one. Looked promising.

It is the electric ones that seemed to have issues. EvilNeon (used to hang on this board a long time ago) has one and other than having problems finding an exhuast shop willing to install it -- he has not had any problems yet.

So the non electric cable one would be my best bet if any?
