Slp Vs Borla

What are some of the noticeable differences between these two exhausts? SLP is selling theirs for 440 while borlas is about 575 through PFYC.

Is the borla system that much better that it costs an extra 150?

Any difference in power or sound?

Who has which and are you happy?

Any feedback would be great because I dont feel like wasting anymore money than I have to when there is much more to do on my car.

I have the Borla cat-back exhaust that i just put on about a month ago and i love it. It has a nice deep sound and adds some power. To really notice a difference though you'll have to change the converter coming from the manifold before the cat. Also if your looking for a loud exhaust this probably isn't the way to go b/c its not a soup can. But the install is really easy and the construction is great. Highly recommended.

SLP all the way!! Great quality, amazing tone, and much raspier/louder than Borla.

hmmm, there isnt a convertor before the cat. maybe you're talking about the resonator? i wouldnt change it, i'd just remove it.


oh, and i wouldnt get slp or borla. i'd have a custom exhaust made with a flowmaster... even cheaper.

If money was an issue, I agree, do custom. Magnaflow is my prefference

Yeah, custom setups are nice, but Borla and SLP offer some benefits.

#1. Stainless steel pipes that won't rust away like normal pipes
#2. Lifetime warranty.
#3. You can insall it yourself and you don't need a pipe bender

As to which is better, that is really just personal preference. The Borla is fairly mellow sounding, and at idle, you can barely tell that you have an exhaust system. With the SLP, the car always growls, even at idle. The SLP is also much louder on acceleration. It really does sound like a v8. But, it is really just a judgement call on what you want. Both offer about the same perforance.

I appreciate all the feedback guys. Decided to go wit the slp instead of the borla. (If Im not happy Im coming after you olsdmopimp!!) Hopefully it will be here by the end of the week according to the salesman on the phone.

The only problem I have now is that the exhaust has dual outs which means I am going to have to get the rear bumper trimmed for the extra out. Any recommendations on where to take the car for something like that.

adding a cutout for the rear isnt a must, and it's hardly noticed depending on what type of tips you have.

It just seems the car would look stupid with the driver side currently cut out and the passenger side left stock.

Just use a dremel and cut the bumper. Takes like 5-10 mins. Just tape around the outline of what your gonna cut.

Also just to mention Borla is 2.25 whereas SLP is 2.5.
