Crazy are there multiple choices for the color of the weave in the carbon fiber?

and if so what are the options. I'm looking to get as close to ruby red as possible so I can install imediately.

The only options that were given are the red/black carbon cevlar that is in the pictures and the blue/black carbon cevlar. Do remember that these materials cost more than the normal CF hood. These are special order items. That's why they cost more than the normal CF hood. I have you recorded as a normal CF hood and the materials have been ordered for your hood. If you need to change something you need to contact me ASAP.

I would definately want to red/black. That looks very close to ruby red. From the picture it is hard to get a feel for the actual color. Have you seen it in person? Does that look like ruby red...like Nick's car color?

i tell ya, compared to other fiberglass pieces i have bought over the years this is just as good to where it fits as good if not better than factory.

This company that is doing these for us is a high quality shop.

Oh it is a custom hood that does not need to be pie cut, or any molding or anything to but scuff and paint. This is what a quality custom hood or fiberglass piece should and can be like.

unlike other places and people out there that would have you believe custom fiberglass parts will always require work to get to fit right. well if you have a shop that knows what they are doing it is not the case and can get a custom fiberglass piece you can bolt on and go.

The fiberglass hoods are being completed as we wait for the CF and carbon cevlar materials to arrive. These are being completed as quickly as possible. Being the holicay season though, some people are on vacations and holiday's play into how quickly things get completed. Please keep this in mind. Only a short wait yet guys. Sorry for the delay on the CF hoods guys. We are still waiting for the material to come in. Shouldn't be long. Hopefully any day now. We are working out the shipping requirments right now with FedEx. With any luck we will be able to send these out regular shipping and not have to pay frieght charges. All fiberglass hoods are done and are just waiting to find out the shipping charges. I will have those shortly.

Carbon Fiber materials are in transit or already arrived. Sorry for the delay guys but getting the material in has taken a lot longer than expected. But the wait is over now. All fiberglass hoods have been completed and PM's have been sent with shipping costs to all fiberglass buyers. CF buyers shipping costs will be in your PM boxes before the end of the week.

there are allways delays in pre orders. in the ht there was these new subs and it took 3 months more than when delevery was suposto be. and the otherone i was thinking of getting came in 2 months late. it is usaly problems woth parts to buld the items. with it was with my av15 the cone materal got stuck on a dok during the dock strike.

got the hood today it is great but man the guy wgo was moveing it was rooling it so i went out to the truck and carryed it in. this guy was a lazy bum. i mean it wasent that heavy.

I had to shim my back corners up, and i am going to extend the holes in the hinges to allow the hood to go towards the front some more, its not even with the front corners of the fenders. i also had to pull the rubber sealer between the hood and the firewall, that helped stop some of the hood flopping around, allows the air to bypass a little instead of pushing up in the middle of it.

i did see 1 drwback to the hood you can not pick up the passanger side whiper more than a inch or it will hit the cowl. not that much of a problem. but it is there.

i did when the car was repainted but then i put them back in. i think it gives the hood more support on the sides.

Lol well, Kyle (turb_Alero) was at my house fiberglassing in the two holes at the very bottom of the kit on my new AAS kit. My new hood wasn't, and isn't in yet and we had to do some "editing" to it so it would not scratch the new kit because of the way it was bent down. In the process, Kyle expressed his interest to take a fairly large crescent wrench and make a custom hood scoop on my hood. But ofcourse, I refused.
So I went inside to do something, probably take the dog in or something of that sort, and when I came back out, Kyle had used his car keys to write my name in the top of my hood :glare:

Now at school, I get people all the time saying "Hey nice body kit, but someone keyed your name into your hood" :lol:

yeah i think price of either one will play a huge role too... I REALLY HOPE he makes them again they looked really nice and i wouldnt mind one.. plus the hood i have now is brand new.(accident) so i could keep it as a spare or sell it if some one wants just a stock hood again
