Alright guys...having bit of a problem. Can anyone tell me why my clutch pedal will have a hard time going down? It rarely happens, but when it does I can hear the return spring having trouble compressing? So maybe the spring is worren out? Some more info...clutch does have a leak at the firewall from the master cylinder(buying the new master asap) I keep the clutch rez filled so I don't cause any damage to anything else.Trans fluid is all good. Gears shift fine, no grinding or slipping. Anything at this point will help. Thanks alero community!

I would guess that it's the faulty master cylinder causing it, rather than the return spring. Could also be the slave cylinder, or the clutch. But my money would be on the master being the culprit. To help eliminate variables, put a small amount of light oil (air tool oil, gun oil, 3 in 1, etc) on the spring, and on the pivots of the pedal.

The only other thing I could think of as if the pressure plate is binding up.

The leak could be sucking air into the system. Air doesn't compress. Could be your issue
