I've heard that this could be a problem with our cars...and I was wondering if anyone else's Alero had an antifreeze leak, and if so what was the problem???

it's your intake manifold gaskets. 400-1000 for repair, depending on where you go (if you arent under warrantee)
or $50 and a lot of work under the hood

Try to do a search for intake gasket and see what comes up. Pretty much all of us with the 3400 have had to deal with it at least once. Mine was at less than 60k miles so the dealer paid half.

Where is it leaking from?

mine was the intake manifold gasket too. Got it replaced under warranty. I had a little bit leaking on the outside, but mostly i think it ran into the motor and got burnt off, because i didn't see any puddles or anything, it just kept getting low

Have you changed your oil since you started noticing the leak? Sometimes the coolant will leak (because of the LIM gasket) and mix with the oil- kinda makes it look milky; sounds like a LIM gasket problem to me (mine is currently just leaking oil, but I still have to get it replaced) THANK GOD it is under warranty!
If you are thinking of doing it yourself, there is a thread with pictures included- I think it was called "and I thought a LIM gasket would be easy".
