I got a new car this weekend. It's a 2009 Pontiac G8 GT it has the 6.0L LS2 V8 with the 6 spd Auto. It has aftermarket spoiler, Solo performance stainless cat-back exhaust, Volant cold air intake. It only has 11k miles on as well. I'll post an interior pic soon, it has the black leather with red inserts.

Yeah, I saw a 2012 CTS-V with the LS V8 and 6 SPD manual but I've never learned how to drive a manual so it would be hard to test drive. The sport shift option is just as good though in my book. I like it also b/c it's more of a sleeper than a Camaro. Also I'm too lazy to get out to let people in the car, getting in a 2Dr car sucks... The G8 is a perfect compromise, at least for me.

You have good points. And dont know how to drive stick? Wow, you need to learn. You will always want a manual after.
Aside from that, luckily for me i only allow 1 other person in my car. I have two four doors now and only the front two doors get used for me/passangers haha. (I dont like having a loaded down car)

Although I am sad that manual transmissions are endangered, I still don't know how to drive one very well and have since learned to electronically and mechanically tune auto transmissions. So I'm kinda glad that if I want to pick up a G8 in the future, I won't have to wade through 6spd versions to find what I want.
The SS is my dream car though, the ultimate sleeper car with a warranty. I'd prefer to fix up an 80's B-body (The SS is it's spiritual successor) even though It would take some money to match it's suspension/chassis performance.

That is awesome, it would make an already crazy car even crazier. I'm keeping the alero at least for now. It has a coolant or head gasket leak but I still couldn't trade it in. They offered $2250 off or $3k trade in value and I figured for $750 I can keep the Alero. It only has 121k miles on it now.

Nice, good luck with it
I was lucky enough too to find a used car with a cat-back and K&N typhoon intake, but I've already bought a new intake for it and I'm not happy it doesn't have a full exhaust :awesome:

Thanks, I'm getting used to the power and RWD again. It gets sideways easily, especially in rain while turning onto a street.

That looks like a nice ride! I'm shooting for a g8 gxp or a CTS-V wagon for my next ride. Hopefully I'll have one or the other by this time next year so I can give my Impala to my brother and be back to one car that's a solid daily and racecar. Keep us posted if you start building this and check out the g8 boards.

I would have loved a GXP but they are $30k+ still and that's with a lot higher mileage than this was. From what I've read the GT has the same engine as the GXP just with a different intake and tune for 87 gas.
