I have just purchased an air intake from a 1996-02 Z24 cavalier 2.4L. I have installed the intake into my alero, which has taken a whole 7 minutes. These intakes are made for the 2.4L engines and will fit on all cavaliers, sunfires, grand-ams, and aleros. This is only true for the standard aleros not the 3.4L autos. So for all you guys who wanted an air intake for you 2.4L alero then just go to your local parts dealer and get one for a 1996-02 Z24 cavalier 2.4L and it will be a direct bolt-in.
