Aight, I've been blabbing on about wai and cai for my 2.4l. So I stumbled across this cai from procarparts.com. This is for a 99' Chevy Cav. 2.4l Z24. No brand name, but great price...tell me what ya people think. Thx.

Me and someone else here have this intake. It's okay, but sounds great. I dumped their generic filter for a K&N one though. Keep an eye on ebay as they sell them there to and its usually $35-40 vs the $63 on thier site.

Procarparts has three of these on ebay now with a Buy It Now of $25 another at $30 and one with a K&N filter at $82. S/H will bump it up quite a bit, but still cheaper than their website. Also like other have said this is NOT a CAI, but a WAI. But still better than factory IMO.

Actually the only places that make a TRUE CAI is Induction Dynamics and APOC was making them. That is it.

I had mantaparts intake and it is a weapon R which is WAI and RSM is WAI.

Yeah, couldn't tell about the RSM one from the pics, the Manta Part one though offers up this description:

"OP 1568A Competition-Style K&N Air Intake System: This system is the same configuration as the sports intake, but extends the intake tube into the wheel well area to mount the filter for colder outside intake air"

and

"OP 1568 K&N Free Flow Air Intake System: Eliminate the restrictive stock air filter box and fender well baffle chamber. This polished aluminum intake goes from the throttle body to behind the battery area to take in unrestricted air for better power. Has provision for all computer sensors and emission fittings."

So it sounds as if the 1568A is a CAI. No pics so can't verify it.

I'm on the APoC site and the metion replacement filters and such, but I can't seem to find "their" cai. Did they stop production of it? Also, was it for the 2.4l?

don't order from apoc. you'll never get it. it was a great cai, probably the best (only cai that's 3" the whole way through), but the waiting period was just too long for it to be worth it.

i believe it is special made. you would have to contact APOC

ok, i got the intake. looks great, sounds great, and performs pretty well. gas mileage is better. prior to this i had a stock airbox with the bottom half removed and a filter stock on. before that i had a custom-made cai that ended up rusting to poop. anyway, this performs best of the three. i love it, and even moreso for the price. i highly recommend it. i'll probably be picking up a better filter though.
