5 speed verification?

so in my boredom, I found a guy posting this for sale close to me... I have emailed him to see if I can get more info, but thought I'd see if anyone can ID the transmission from the picture...

at this time I am tempted, but not sold on it... just really curious...

I figured as much, but then got to thinking, that I have a 5 speed ld9 here that I could use for pieces if I needed... again, it is just a thought process at this point, one of those is this a deal or not kinda thing... but I need to know the transmission first...

I wouldn't get it unless you can find a 3.1 MPI Corsica, or Buick. The f23 is the way to go in a big body car.

In 91 the cavalier/sunbird were pretty much the same size as our car's.... maybe about 500lbs lighter....

Agreed, and I had a lot of headaches before that. I honestly thought that all the headaches were pretty much past when I sold it. The axles were a big issue for me, as well as measuring and lining up for the custom mounts.

Looks like a getrag-282 to me.
