With other things on the car now fixed I want to start doing a general tune up before continuing mods. Part of that will of course be spark plugs. Would I be gaining anything by running a step cooler plugs? The motor is stock, intake, headers/exhaust after this but no other tuning or major performance upgrades in the near future. of course the manufacture has their reasons for what is there and I know in the future when it's boosted cooler plugs will be needed but with a setup that is still factory what would be the + or - effects?

Nope, you should run the stock heat range.

Yeah I got colder plugs because I was going to run NOS. Other then that there is no real benefit.

I figured. Wanted to make sure before I got any parts. I just wish I could strap on the supercharger right now... so much to do!

I've found that the 3400 doesn't like anything other than ACDelco plugs and the correct plugs for the car.
