Simple question. Where is the Fuel Filter on the 2000 Aleros?

under the car, by gas tank, silver canister with a rubber hose going in one end and a metal line on the other end

no need to depressurize, just make sure the car isn't running when you do it lol. use an oil drain pan or something to catch the little bit of gas that will come out. One end is a little tough as the connector is hard to get out. I used the swear-puch-pry-cut-cuss method. But pliers should suffice

Thanks for the help. iam pretty good at the swear-puch-pry-cut-cuss method but maby I will try pliers.

What are the chances of it being under a big heat shield nere the gas tank becuase I still cant seem to find it

htere could be a heat sheild ther but its very doubtfull. if you have a 4 door car. go under one of the doors and look towards the rear. you will see it theres a little tunnel between the gas tank and the trucnk and you will see it.
if you dont find it. look under your car for fuel lines and follow those till you find itl.

yea i know what hes talking about.......it looks kinda like a charcoal cannister that is on my brothers accord......

o and about the depressurize thing, just open your gas filler cap, that gets out any remaining pressure in the system......

the black can I think is sorta like a catch can for the gas tank.
