Anyone have then if so is there aby difference with them vs normal coiles or no?

The factory coils are fine. No need for the MSD's.

Well id figure id ask found a pair of them on good old craigslist for 50$ and was just wondering if they were any different

Don't know if MSD picked up the quality or not, but a few years back, the guys on HP Tuners did some pretty in-depth testing and found the GM packs were actually better than the aftermarket performance brands out there.... including MSD

They are great quality but when people have done turbo build and such with the stock ignition system it makes them seem a little useless under 350whp

GM ignitions are really good. Even going back to HEI distributors in the early 70's

I have them. They look cool!

And that about it. So when you open your hood, you can impress all your friends

They are great quality but when people have done turbo build and such with the stock ignition system it makes them seem a little useless under 350whp

A guy on Classic Oldsmobile is using a STOCK distributor in his 10 second street car. He tried the MSD ign and he gained .01 in the 1/4 mile. He tried it in another Olds which is pretty much stock, no gain. He sold it and got all his money back ;)

How about the msd 6a ignition

If you want to impress your friends too, then yeah. That's about all you'll get from it. Put your money elsewhere

Well like i said id figure id ask becouse there is alot of it on cl for dirt cheap
