Coolant reservoir tank problem 2nd time.

Ok back in 2009 i bought a dorman tank ok in 2012 it was leaking from the seams this was like july 2012. I got a new one under warranty so now like 7 months later this warrantied tank has a pinhole leak causing all the coolant to leak out. I warrantied it out again with oreilly and the quality seems to be different but in case it goes out in a few months what would be a better option?

If it goes out again go to rockauto.com....select model/cooling system/coolant recovery tank and get the ACdelco one.....guarantee you wont have issues. Delco is a good brand....dorman not so much....and idk what other brands you got but i'd be willing to bet you will be safe with the delco one.

thanks i was thinking more on the lines of an aluminum tig welded type. but if the original one lasted 10 years it must be good.

Try to stay away from Dorman products, they really suck. I had the same problem with my overflow tank, 3 times, all replaced under warranty

Dorman quality stinks! Almost everything you ever buy from them will be as bad. I have said this many times here but some people seem to prefer to learn the hard way.

My Dormans have had 3 times as many problems as the ACDelco parts.
