ok so ive been looking for a while now and was wondering what sites you fellas go to for your alero parts? so far i came to the conclusion ebay will be one of my best friends during all the modding.

I'll keep updating this thread with questions so I don't clutter up the threads and people can come here for any answers :P

first mods im looking to do.
1. suspension. and looking to lower it a littlebit
2. brakes
3. decent rims nothing that'll break my balls (was looking at these http://www.carid.com/touren-wheels/tr6-chrome-1399594.html )

and my engines getting a little dirty, anything good for cleaning it?

Rockauto.com, we have a banner on the front page of this site, click on it and buy stuff, it helps out Aleromod.com.

eBay is good, if you know the ACDelco part number, then look for it on there.

Gotta be careful with eBay, real easy to turn your car in pure rice buying stuff there :usa:

1. KYB AGX and H&R springs are supposed to be a good setup
2. MMS has brake kits

He's just a clown. :) he's a good fella.

Those rims are blehh. Get sporty rims not "hood rich" wheels, plus with that lip your asking to dent them on a pothole.

Suspension will cost you 700+$ I have KYB gr2 with Canuck springs and moog mounts, it was a little over 700$ for everything.

alright now that u bring up the "pothole" thing i definitely have to agree with you. where I live 90% of the roads have HUGE potholes. but i do like chrome so ill just have to find a new pair.

so anyways... I finally got my ride back. mechanic said he had a problem getting an O ring for my power-steering pump to seal good, and said to bring it back if the power steering goes out again.. ok well it went out and I'm tired of having his half-ass jobs that take 4 times longer then they should.

This going to be tricky to fix? or could I do this out of my garage? I have all the basic tools (screwdrivers, socket set, u know.. the basics) I can also get a hold of jack stands n such if i need.

EDIT: I have to deal with this power steering problem every winter. during the summer it's fine. Maybe you guys know of something else that might be out. let me know

Amazon is also a good place for parts.

alright i'll keep that in mind. personally i don't really like amazon and ebay all that much, I'm really liking rockauto though ill definitely be ordering from them in the future.
