Hi folks,
since quite a couple folks ordered the euro-style headlights, did someone already installed a hid kit in them?
if yes, please provide picture of ONE beam pattern (just cover the other side with a card board or so)
and info what kind of hid-kit u used and how "stock" the installation looks.

Thanks folks.
I soon probably need these :coolio:

He needs you to cover one of the headlights so he can get an idea of how the beam is on each side ;)

correct.
but I can already tell that its a bit blurry especially on the left edge, and the upper part of the 45° degree cut off line.
That might get me in big trouble with the feds, here.

But a single headlight dead on against a white wall would be perfect.
What HID kit are you using? D2S or D2R bulbs? How did you solve the plug and sealing with the sealing cap?
In short, pics of you installation

What I did was just use a box cutter to (try) to cut a hole for the grommet to come thru. I use the word "try" because it's really a hack

thanks, your left one is really blurry, especially with this "jet" coming off the middle.
will have to compare to mine standard ones.

What kind of bulbs did you use and what kit?
Ever someone thought of using the OEM wiring and splice the hids in the plug, this way would need no cutting of the sealing cap.

The problem with that, is that HIDs are high voltage (something like 20,000V) and the insulation on the factory wiring ... isn't.

Thanks jawa again for the pics. I had a longer discussion with other german forum members and came to the consensus that this light pattern would not pass german federal inspection and would probably cause cops to pull you over.

But I still got one request. Could you post a pic with a normal halogene bulb installed (especially in the left headlight) - this way I can see if the beam that originates from the middle and goes to upper left is thanks to a deformed mirror or if the D2S buld is the culprit.

I am really sorry for the inconvenience.
