If I add a WAI to my car can water still get water into the intake? Will the hood shield most of the water and spray, or will the heat of the engine disipate the water? Will this damage the air sensor, and will the dealer think this is less a void of my warrenty then a CAI? Any replies will be appreciated Thanks!

maybe if you drove through a pond.

but seriously, i dont think i've heard of any wai getting water in it.

i had cai for a while, and got water in... didnt damage anything.

When I did have a WAI on my car, I noticed that there were water spots on the metal parts of the filter. I don't think I ever got enough in the intake to hurt anything. I know my CAI intake filter gets wet, but it has never hurt anything.

Too hot under the hood for that.

Underhood temp go to about 250 about 5 to 10 seconds after start-up

yeah, too hot to suck the water in, but the filter will still get wet. The hood is not perfectly sealed.
