Alright so i'm going to get the MOOG strut mounts for front and rear....i'm also looking at getting new hub assemblies for the front....should i stick with the MOOG ones?
BTW i'm ordering from rockauto..... the price of the moog's are more, but if their better than the other ones and will last me longer then i don't mind spending the extra money. Anybody have these?
I wanna bring the car in to my mechanic and have him put the sway bars, strut mounts and hubs in all at one time and get it aligned and DONE before i make the trip to michigan. Any help is appreciated....wanna make sure i get good quality parts so i don't have to replace them anytime soon. Wish i could afford to do the AGX's while i'm at it but at $110 a pop (and limited availability i just can't do it right now).
Thanks!

i'll be doing the hub assemblies myself....seems pretty straight forward. sway bars and strut mounts i wont be doing.
I also have to put all the new brake hardware i have on in the rear. New rotors, calipers/pads and my stainless lines. NOT looking forward to swapping the lines....the fronts were a bitch....lol

I've heard good things about the timken's. I got mine at an oreilly. Don't remember what brand, but I believe I paid over 100 for em. One thing I've heard is after installing a new assembly, they go bad immediately bc the hub is generating an electrical current bc they are spinning so much and they short out. To counter this, simply ground it to the body.

hmmm....timkens or moog.....moog's are a little cheaper and i figured since the moog strut mounts got such good reviews that their hubs would be good too. Gonna place this order either tonight or tomorrow....guess i gotta do some research.

I just replaced the front right bearing with the MOOG one about 3 weeks ago.. I was surprised it didn't come with a new axle nut. Haven't had any problems with it yet, but it's too early to determine if i will.

Looks like after some research on here i'm going with SFK. Can anybody tell me the new torque spec for it or does it come with some directions? Gonna order these tonight

I wanna say 175. The torque spec that came with mine said 280, but that is obviously way wrong.

NEW FRONT DRIVE AXLE NUT
Use the new nut, P/N 10289657, whenever the front drive axle nut is removed. This new nut is a torque prevailing nut and is silver in color. The
old nut is black in color and has a sheet metal cage around the nut. Using the new nut will provide a more consistent clamp load
on the wheel bearing and should help prolong the bearing life.
Tighten the new style nut to 235 Nm (173 lb ft).
The old style nut torque was 385 Nm (284 lb ft).
IMPORTANT: Some front wheel hub kits may have the old style nut included in the kit. Discard the old nut and use the new nut, P/N
10289657.

Thanks Monty....gonna be doing this thursday. I ended up buying the SFK hub assemblies.....new rear brakes are going on....but the front brakes are now making a weird sound. Hope its just the pads that need replacing.....cant afford new rotors too....and if its the calipers....forget it (remember i have the camaro dual pistons on the front). We'll find out thursday....
timken wheel hubs ftw. they last pretty long under extreme stress from my bags so i could only imagine how long they would last on a regular coil setup. if your going all out you might want to replace the control arm bushings because im sure yours are starting to wear/crack by now if they are original. you will need a hydraulic press for this, or you can just take it to a shop to press them in. after all of those changes you listed the car will drive completely different, for the better.
hopefully ill put the ho back on the road soon to have some fun with the trainhorns again :)

I have some stock bushing in them right now (changed about 30k ago)....had polyurethane bushings in but the mechanic said they failed (idk....some bs maybe). Hopefully the SFK will last me a while....i heard a lot of good things about them which made me wanna buy them. Thanks for the advice though bud...

My SFK hubs have lasted twice as long as the oem ones.
