turbo upgrade advise

Want to build a 3" exhaust so I want to change the exhaust from a 2.5 to a 3' vband hot side of the turbo. My question is if I buy a new housing do I have to or anything to make it fit the turbo or do I just have to pull together?

you need to get a new turbine side that's specific to your turbo
