i slid off my driveway into a stone wall. Driveway is terrible in the winter sharp turns and steep hills. i was going down it and i went to turn and i went straight down the side of the driveway. now i park on the bottom and walk up you need 4wd or AWD or studded snow tires. I am a also going to school for automotive and have no money for studded snow tires after spending it on the tools and tool box i needed.

Damn that sucks big time. I haven't driven my alero in the snow yet cause I was waiting to get new tires. So far its only snowed once over here in NY & I didn't have them yet. Now I'm sitting on some beefy BF Goodrich's & I want it to snow and see how they are.

I don't have money for studded snow tires either if worst comes to worst, throw some chains on that bitch

I go to Lincoln Tech now, I almost went to Apex. My friend said Apex sucked, its all text book work and little hands on. Right now at LT, the first 1/4 of the class were upstairs in the classroom doing review sheets and questions then were down in the shop the rest of the night, depending on the class of course. UTI looked nice on tv but my friend went on a tour of the big campus in florida and one in cali and said dont even bother its not worth it. we both attend Lincoln Tech now and i couldnt of made a better choice.

Niceee ! I wanna work for ups, fixing & repairing their vehicles. Its good pay with full benefits &+ I stick mainly to 3 different trucks max, instead of working in a dealership knowing 10 or more different cars. Best of luck to you in school as well as the navy!

as long as their doors are open they will have the need for things to be repaird. Vehicles are here to stay and wont be going away anytime soon. The means by which they are propelled will be what changes. the auto industry as shitty as it is will always be stable in one form or a nother (what the hell will replace the automobile?). The question will be will u burn urself out in the process of building ur career

& trust me in 15 years they will still have ups trucks lol. all i have to do is work for 20 and then retire with a pension because its a federal job. after that, ill see where life takes me either owning my own shop or working off hand in a small one

Go enlisted first and you will have more respect from the people you will be in charge of.

Oh thank goodness you're going to Navy for aviation. the Aviation brigade of the US Army Nat'l Guard in NY that I dealt with for 2 weeks in September in Fort Drum was absolutely retarded. (yes the whole brigade)

The Navy and the Marine Corps is the easiest place to fly if you want to be a pilot. That was my plan before I was forced to medically discharge.
