So recently in the last month my brake squeaks like compressing rubber as I push the brake in. It sounds horrible and it sounds worst when I'm sitting at a light and I compress the brake and let off and compress again. It sounds literally like when you hear a couple going at it in the next room. (Ha, best explanation I could give). Anyways can anyone give me some input on what they think it could be?

Need a little more specification on this.. When you press the brake does it sound like a creeking bed? Like errr eeee errr eee something in that order... Lol..

First i would check your pads and make sure everything is good. If so then its the piston in your brake caliper. Mine does it every once in a blue moon. I think it just gets dry. Im not sure what product to put on it to fix it. But for me when this happens all i do is....

1. Take off the wheel
2. Remove caliper
3. Pull out pads
4. Then i take a flat head and put it inbetween the piston and rubber around it carefully and pry it up slightly. (careful not to rip it.)
5. Spray some pb-blaster around the piston under the rubber..
6. Put everything back together and noise is gone.

Thats what i do. Someone might do something else.. Or not like my idea.. But it works great and have not had any problems doing this.

Yes it's that exact noise! Thanks, I was thinking of taking it apart next weekend and finding a product to lube it up.

puting a little lube inside the boot will solve the problem. both my fornt calipers did that on my old car. however something that will make things easier: remove the wheel, undo one caliper bolt and swing the caliper out to expose the piston. use a straw to get the fluid in. no need to remove the pads. i use gm super lube when i do mine. pretty much wd-40.

Yeah it happens to the calipers on these cars, they creak

GM dealers used to sell a kit to fix it, it's just some kind a lube. WD-40 probably will work the same

yeah the kit had some sort of fluid that was called "klubar fluid"? something like that.

Gm still has the lube for this one. We stock it still. There is enough in the tube to hit both front calipers with some back up left over too
