Hello! My name is Mark and I'm from Levittown, PA. I am a firefighter in the area, also I am only 18 years old and I am proud to say that my first car is a 2000 Alero GL Sedan, and I LOVE IT. I am glad that there is a website like this for me to go to. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Yeah, I want to! But there is a lot I have to learn about what looks good on a 4 door Alero and what doesn't >.> But I have seen pictures of just about everything on all types of Aleros so hopefully it works out.

ok do you know if the lower intake manifold gaskets have been replaced becasue they are know to go in the 3400 engines. What most people start out with is an cold air intake and exhaust. Sometime people get aftermarket radios.

MFox3828
06-22-2011, 12:15 AM
I'll have to check the manifold gaskets and I will most likely start with the cold air intake as well. In fact later I will PM you with all the stuff that the carfax had reported as replaced and stuff

JLw7123

Well there are CAI on ebay that people have had great lucks with. But if you get a CAI from ebay you should through away the filter it comes with and get an K&N filter. For exhausts the only companies that make catback exhausts is Pasesetter and borla. now the alero and the grand am are almost identical cars. Like lowering springs, engine parts all work on the alero. Most people go buy flowmaster mufflers, dynomax, borla, magnaflow. They make there own exhaust. They have a shop install it. There are also headers for sale. if you need any links to lowering springs, mufflers, exhaust systems ask me.

http://www.wot-tech.com/shop/ Here is a great website for the 3400. The 3500 intake manifolds fit onto the 3400 engine. mostly anything will fit the alero.

It may take a little time but if it leaks you will see it i have a 03 alero v6 3400 replaced mine once before and gotta do it again. The guys on here are very knowledgeable about Aleros and can tell you the best gaskets to use if it does and other things with your car. Welcome man.
Looks identical to my Alero when I got it 4 years ago :)
Tint looks good on silver 4 doors. If you are a little handy, do it yourself. Took me one Sunday and $40 worth of pre-cut eBay tint. 3 years later, and still no fading or bubbling.

Hey man, welcome! You just missed the Alero show! BTW there are a few silver aleros on here including mine which I have posts of on here so feel free to check em out and the others. I think we all have some good ideas and mods on em. Lots of other members on here that have even better mods too if I may say so myself lol (going for brownie points).

In order to do mine or a flowmaster 80 correctly, you have to havd a 2nd exhaust cutout added to the bumper
