Alright guys... I just looked through some of the ASS pictures, and I am disappointed I missed out on going yet again... We need to get another meet together to give these guys a run for their money on the AOTM best group shot...
So... Where and When can we get together and have another meet? post up some dates and let's figure out one we can get the most Canadian guys together... Anyone else from across the border who can make it is more than welcome as well...

Always down for another meeting. I'm out camping this Canada day weekend. Other that that any Sunday works for me. As for the place.. hm maybe somewhere by the lake. So we can have a little bbq or so.

I'm sure we could find a spot down by lake Ontario, either down by the CNE grounds or somewhere just outside Toronto... I know Barrie has a nice waterfront, but that is a good hike... If anyone has any suggestions, serve them up!!

Sundays are my only days off too.
I used to live by Lake Shore and know a few nice places. Three options that come to my mind.
One spot is a park by Lake Shore Blvd and Park Lawn. A nice spot by the lake, with a parking lot with a view of downtown Toronto. Perfect for car photos.
Second is at Lake Shore Blvd and Promenade. Good for gatherings and meetings.
Third is a Port Credit. That's more of a meet-to-eat kind of thing, with lots of restaurants and fast food places.

I am up for pretty much anywhere with a little notice lol... Directions and a time frame work great, so let's see if we can set a date and then work on location...
Maybe either the last weekend in July or beginning of August? This should give people enough time to book time off on a Sunday to be able to attend, and get the most cars we can in the area together...

Put me down for the alero meet also. I live in Barrie currently; the waterfront there is pretty nice, but lakeshore is better :P. MUCH more alero's in toronto than barrie lol.

This year we will get more members to show up lol. Just hope that the weather holds up and no downpour of rain. I hope you guys worked on your alero in the past year and this year. Don't come to the meet saying "oh it looked the same last time you saw it" lol.

EDIT: So I was just told by the other half that the weekend of the 24th of July is out for me, as it has been booked for our daughter's 2nd Birthday party... so... if we could work it for July 31st, that would be great!!!

This works best for me... Hopefully it will give me & my neighbour enough time to get the car on the road, and I can bring it this time instead of the coupe...

I would say probably between 11-6 would be the best time... not too early, and not too late...

Yes there are parking lots along the lakeshore. Not sure which one we'll pick though. Maybe if we get someone more familiar with the area.

from what i have read from a few of the US guys, border crossings are scarring them due to a couple members having their cars ripped apart and searched as they tried to cross... so as much as i would like to have them there, it is really up to them, and if we can centralize it in Toronto, i think we will have a better turn out of the local guys...

i posted this link on GAGT and there are a couple guys over there that are watching this thread to come and crash the alero party as they put it... lol... to which i say, the more the merrier!!

That is sad too. The two times Ive crossed into the US to visit I had the same feelings. Never had a real problem, other than my brother almost getting us arrested for taking pictures while crossing... lol... but that is another story. Having it in Toronto would be good for the scenery anyway for sure. Get a google map together when you guys have the spot. Sooner the better to get the best turn-out! ;)

If you want W-body guys it's best to go to OQCGP (Ontario Quebec club grand prix) and post there to see if anyone is interested.

TBH some of the guys there really have something against the 3x00 series engines...

I will start...
Clay the car (done),Wax the car (done), install sway bar (sanded and repainted, it was rusty!), install wheels and spacers, clean the interior, paint and install gauge pod (again, hopefully the postal service delivers the 3rd gauge), and possibly touch up the rust spots if time allows... Not a big list, but working 60 hours a week is putting a damper on getting anything done as is the heat!!

So far in this area this is only the second that I am aware of (in the past 3 years)... Last time we only had what, 5 of us? mind you that was in November, and one member was in an accident a week before, and another had his car wrecked a couple weeks before...
This meet has been advertised on here, GAGT as far as I know, and there has been interest over on GAGT about at least 3-4 members there coming as well... I am hoping we can get 10-15 cars there, the more the merrier!!!

The Malibu looks worse and worse every year :(
My rust fixing looks like shit, clear coat is peeling all over the front bumper and hood (where I did another home made rust fix 4 years ago).

The funny part is; the parts that aren't screwed up like that look freaking fantastic! I can see my reflection clear as day in the back bumper, move another few inches and there's cleat coat imperfections or a scratch...haha freaking daily drivers...

My front bumper looks like hell thanks for a tire off a trailer truck and in general a lot of rocks!

But either way, she's ready for tomorrow; the interior is clean, exterior is clean..

Was going to sand my headlights, polish em and re-clear em but after being in that sun since this morning I'm not feeling it...was also going to paint the grey part of my grille blue...same lazy ass explanation! lol

not gonna lie, that is probably too far for most of those who came to this meet... what about Port Dover or Hamilton area? that is still a 3+hr drive for me, but worth it if we can get more members to show up...

Yeah Hamilton area would be fine for me as well. 2 hours drive for me, but like Tim said, not too bad, if we can get more people that way.
Also last Sunday of September or whatever the date was posted, is fine for me.
Also when choosing the spot, we should keep in mind it's good to have a place close to a food/drink store (Tim Horton's is good enough).

lol... I will do my best... hopefully I can get it fixed along with the few other goodies done... So far I have tinted the tails, I am in the middle of redoing the headlights, and I really want the exhaust on... but time is running out, so hopefully I can at least get one thing done lol...

I really don't care if you drive or not, it is just great to get people to show... there are a couple in Kitchener that hopefully could join your caravan along the way, wherever we meet up next time... Gotta try and get some 2-way radios for each driver so we can stick together on our cruise... We will also have to figure out a route and how far everyone feels comfortable driving.... Barrie is a great spot, however I am not sure how the Windsor/Kitchener/Toronto group feel about driving up there... not to mention the dumping of snow that is up there should any come... makes trips up the 400 kinda tricky for that group... I take the back route up to Orillia and down from there though...

I've been to barrie a couple of times too, I think the last time I was there I saw an alero and it was all customized. It's a GLS with blacked out taillights, pacsetter exhaust, sunroof, painted bezels, HID's, rims, lowered, etc. Another time I saw a faded red colour alero and it was lowered too, I think it was one of the members on here. Hopefully if we go to barrie for this meet, we might see those alero's and totally convoy them LOL.


For me personally I would hold off the meet until march because the weather can get scary in barrie lol, and by the looks of it right now I don't think that the weather will get any better.

Btw, I forgot to mention that my alero is in storage and it's probably buried under snow right now lol. But I will try to bring my intrigue, so if I don't make it to this meet that's the reason why :P.

and Ross, I would say read up lol... we had tentatively set March 11th as the time, and were looking at the Georgian Mall in Barrie... We can do the cruise in the Summer... Maybe meet in Hamilton again and then cruise down to Niagara from there?

Set up staying the same, but they are not as good as they should be. Ive got the set up from the 96 vette with grand am hubs welded to spindles. I have to drill Vette rotors 5x114.7 to put them on. Pain, but have access to a drill press. What I have now sucks imo compared to the powerslot rotors with hawk pads in factory set up. Adams Rotors in California are going too make me custom vette rotors drilled in my hub size. Im getting their brake pads for it as well and hopefully this set up finally is worth the work!

Nice... Sounds way better then what I am getting to start off with lol... Trevor picked me up an Impala Police Brake kit... its only a single piston caliper, but I will just need to invest in the dual piston camaro one later down the road...

those pads are goign to chew the shit out of your rotors. we replaced the brake pads on a campus security tahoe every 20-30k miles. the rotors usualy twice within that time.
