Not 100% directly. I'd stick with the 4T40E.

Ok. What is your guess at the lifespan of the 4T40E? If driven hard its entire life?

Found one for $250 with 78k on it

lol really? Well you read my post about my transmission not shifting right didn't you? It only has like 70k on it and if I floor it it hits like 6.6-7k and still wont shift until i let off the gas. Shifts hard now and then. So I am surprised yours has that many.

My tranny has given me types of issues (thankfully nothing major) since I got it in 06 pretty much with 115k on it. It was all stock and all I have done to it ever was a warm air intake.

It likes to slip sometimes, but usually it gives me problems in warmer months it seems. Maybe its just me lol. I had the fluid changed once cuz i didnt know wtf it was and it fixed it for a little. I get bad days once a month maybe...

you probably shouldnt rev the engine to 7k if you know something is wrong with it. that is my input.

Thats what im saying. The engine shouldn't rev that high. Ever. I was trying to figure out why.
