cia question

Hi everybody,

I just installed my new cia yesterday. Now it seems when I drive I can push the gas pedal all the way down and not get full power? I did unplug the battery for an hour and let it idle for 5 mins. Does the computer take a while to relearn the new intake? Or did I mess something up.

sounds like a sensor to the intake as what heineck said.

I have 1 sensor that I am trouble getting all the way into the rubber gromet, which I didn't think was that big of a deal, maybe it is. I'll double check.

thats most likely the IAT one you're talking about.. i would have it in there as much as possible, and make sure its plugged in all the way.

As long as it's plugged in electrically, it won't make that much of a difference on an N/A car whether it's physically stuck in good in the piping.

Also, who calls the CAI a CIA? Cold Intake Air? I was thinking this might be some thread about the government agency.

Chris is right. Check your MAF prongs. I put my CIA (lol) in and bent a MAF prong out and the thing was loud and proud. Sounded like I was running a V-8 with a short pipe
