It's a hub or did you not clear the code after putting new ones in?
No on the shifting. Yes on Cruise Control and ABS system

If its shifting hard and the abs and trac lights are on it could be the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission is your speedo working ok?
make sure that you plugged in both of the wheel sensors, it might not have clicked into place when you replaced it and then the vibrations could have knocked it out.

Since your speedo is messed too ill bet money its your vehicle speed sensor
yep, the front wheel hubs have the sensors integrated into them, i would imagine those sensor are the wheel speed sensors and are used to regulate the ABS system as well. did you use cheap ebay wheel hubs or did you get a quality product like timken?

Its the vehicle speed sensor on the transmission, not the wheel hubs.

I was getting this problem for a long time. Once I replaced both hubs, I havent had this issue since.

My buddy had the same problem on his, he replaced the hubs and it solved it all. Also, are is the a loud humming/whining? Typically when they are going out and start having those lights they do that to. Of not, could it be the back ones? Sence you have the abs and trac control then they'd be wired up too.

i had the same issue with the anti lock and the traction control, brought it to a gm dealer and they said it was probably just a loose connection to the speed sensor in the tire hub. only happened in snow though and fixed itself for spring though.
