So my radio is really staticky. Only one or two stations come in clear. So this weekend i put in an aftermarket radio and i still get the static.
Anybody know the reason for this and what i can do to fix this?
Thanks

check your antenna booster, back near your defroster module.
Redog posted a How to about it.

you need to connect your antenna turn on wire to your head units remote or power antena wire.

The rear defroster elements ARE the antenna. Without an antenna, you wouldn't receive radio stations. OF COURSE we have antennas...just not external whip antennas.

that is 100% NOT the problem because it wasnt working before i put in the new radio.
i think im just going to go to autozone and buy a new antenna and just drill it on my trunk and run wires to the radio

Just repace the defrost module then why drill a hole in your car and put in an ugly ass antenna.

Sometimes the internal radio receiver goes out.. a new radio may fix it.
