What will I need to purchase to install a keyless entry kit on my 02 other than the kit itself? I've bypassed the security light/ ignition issue with a toggle switch, so will I still need to buy the bypass module for our cars? Thanks in advance.

I'm confused... Why would you need to bypass anything for a keyless entry? Most came from the factory with it.

I read somewhere, I believe on this forum, that bypassing the security light issue also killed the keyless entry system. Plus, I never got the remotes when I purchased my car and don't want to shell out $60 per remote plus $50 for dealer programming (has to be done at a dealer since its an 02).
Basically I'm just seeing if I can go cheap on this one or if I should plan on dropping a little more than the cost of the new keyless remotes and get remote start as well.

Don't go push button start, you'll regret it. I have it on my Tacoma thanks to some neglect from prior owners......hate it.
