So i was on my way back from springfield today (3 hour trip for me) and at the start the change oil and low coolant light came on... BUT the temp didnt even rise above normal temperature and the oil is only 300 miles old. Also the service vehicle soon light comes off and on and the ses lights on due to a bad 02 sensor but could the gauge panel be bad?

Have you replaced the LIM gasket yet?

you could be burning coolant due to a bad headgasket, or losing it due to a LIMG leak, thats two possibilities. another could be that the actual coolant temperature/level sensor(s) are at fault.

first thing i would do is open the coolant reservoir and check to see its level, come back with that answer and we can help you further.

Oil change light, gotta reset it, doesn't reset itself

Coolant light, low coolant, but if it's not comming on all the time, could be a head gasket letting combustion gasses in the cooling system. 15 PSI in the coolant system and much more than 15 psi in the combustion chamber, I think it's pretty easy to see which side will win.

My car would vomit on a WOT run. Even if I stopped at 3500 RPM's  What a mess

so its time for a head gasket then you say?

most likely, did you check your coolant level? also, after the car has been running for a while, pop the hood and check to see the pressure in the coolant system by squeezing the upper rad hose going to the tstat under the TB. it should NOT be rock hard, if it is your definitely have a head gasket issue.

This same thing happened to me and i ended up tearing it down and redoing the gaskets. Mine were the head gaskets not the LIMG tho. Thats not as bad.

-.- the antifreeze was low. I tend to be the person that looks at all the hard things before the easy things

the next thing you need to ask yourself is why is it low?

you either have a leak on your LIMG dripping out of the block onto the floor, or you have (what i believe) a bad headgasket and you are burning coolant

Check the recovery tank and MAKE SURE it doesn't have a crack or hole in it. I've replaced mine like 3-4 times always due to a crack where it is seamed together. I was losing coolant, too. Also get some of those tablets that the dealer sells that seals coolant leaks. Crush it up, dump it into the recovery tank and walla! That stuff is like magic! :yahoo:
