I ordered a throttle body coolant bypass kit and never got it shipped. I then called them and they said they would ship out another kit...still never got it. I also double checked the address and Mark said he would ship another..still nothing. I have never had problems receiving items at my home address. The Original order was October 1st. When I talked to him he seemed really cool, however after this I will not be doing any more business with MP. I am thinking of just making the bypass myself...hard..thoughts?
Anyone ever had order or shipping problems with them. This is the first time I have ever ordered something and never got it. I left a voice mail and said I would pay for another and still nothing?

3/8" hose (emissions/fuel (non fuel injection hose, that stuff is overkill), and 2 hose clamps. 6-8" long. I sell a bypass kit as well but that is all there is to it. Any parts store can set you up.
i used a peice of 4 inch hose and 2 hose clamps on mine cost 1.35

what does this kit exactly do? never heard of it.

It bypasses the line where coolant flows through the throttle body. The idea behind that is to heat up the air in winter, but really all it does is cut power.

It doesn't cut power. It doesn't gain power. The coolant flows through the lower intake, and there is a tube between the upper and lower with coolant in it. The kit is for using the TCE billet throttle body, which does not have coolant lines to connect with.

Ya I bought a cai intake from them. Took 3 months too get here. But it works good and I am happy with it. But I wasn't told they sent it multiple times.

Cold Air Intake intake, for that extra intake power!

I waited a couple times forever for shipping. Especially with the pacesetter catback.... Works a lot better if you can get Mark on the phone- He will explain if something is amiss. (although he should be contacting you first lol)

Sounds like your best bet. I wasn't in a critical situation though. I got on here complaining about it and a lot of people stepped up and vouched for him so I don't know what the deal is. I do agree a business should be run more efficiently.

Read what I wrote in the PM. I am not stopping you from saying you have had bad service. However, you do not need to rant on and on in 5 differents saying "how freaking pissed off" you are. Just simply state "I have had bad service with him in the past and would not do business with him again" That is a fair warning to anybody who would be asking about doing business with him.

I am going to post this on here cause i need to let everyone know that i DID get everything i ordered..... the brackets are attached to the caliper and im a tard cause i didnt realize that. Plus its been a while since i've messed with brakes so i couldn't "visualize" the set up. So yea i figured i would fill you all in on my stupid mistake....i complained for nothing (other than the lack of responses to my phone calls and emails). Other than that i got what i ordered. So to people looking at buying something from mpracing i would say go for it. The shipping may take a little longer than usual but you will get what you ordered.
Have a nice day:rolleyes2:

they shouldn't be more than 20 bucks for both at a parts store like autozone and they should have them in stock

They didnt have them in stock.... wen to advance, napa, then home depot for the fuck of it....then i called a chevy dealer close to me (the caliper is from the 98-02 camaro SS so the banjo bolt they sent with the stainless lines wont fit....its a course thread 10mm but we need a fine thread....and we need it for the 98-02 camaro lol.....they didnt have ANY...so i did some research after all the driving around and found one on JEGS that will work.... hoping this comes within like 3-4 days (crosses fingers lol)

Can't speak for JEGS but when I order stuff from Summit I get it in 3 days, tops, if it's not backordered, and you live closer to them than I do.
It's funny because Summit told me on the phone
"Oh you're in Pennsylvania, that's not far at all! Should be only a day"
"Yeah, but I'm in Philadelphia"
"Where's that?"
"In Pennsylvania, next to New Jeresy"
"Oh....Well that will be 2 days"

A 'different' way to get the bolts you need:
Buy a set of calipers at some parts place. Go home. Use the fittings from the new calipers. Return the calipers for refund, "Didn't need them". Problem solved.
I had to do something simiar when I replaced my calipers, aparently the rebuilders sometimes thread the caliper improperly. Went through 5 altogether to get a pair that were correct and matching.

i needed the banjo bolt....im not gonna get a loaded pair of calipers, take the banjo bolts out and return them without them.....their going to notice and even if they dont....im not gonna risk buying a set i dont need for like 400 dollars and then get caught have to pay for them too....thats my luck and its just fucked up....

Really? The stock banjo bolt works...
billytheman1188
01-24-2011, 03:14 AM
does it? cause the banjo bolt that came with the stainless steel lines i bought didnt work on the new caliper.....and i didn't think the stock one (meant for an alero caliper) would work on a camaro caliper.....and i wasnt about to risk it taking the stock caliper off....then having it not work....and then putting the stock one on and bleeding the brakes cause i made a mistake and tried the stock bolt......so why would the banjo bolt from the stainless lines package not work but the stock one will?
Cliff8928

I have no idea, but the banjo bolt from the stock calipers is a M10x1.0 which is what goes in most of the aluminum calipers.

The 'banjo bolt issue' is what I was fighting with which led to my earlier comment about buying and then returning calipers. The banjo bolts provided with the calipers in a baggie didn't fit the first pair I bought. When I returned them the parts guy and I went through the other calipers in stock until we found ones that worked properly. One package didn't even have the copper washers! Of course they didn't just have banjo bolts seperately that were the correct threading, that would have been too easy... I had foolishly allowed my original bolts go back with the 'cores' assuming the calipers came with the 'right stuff'.

when bleeding the brakes do u guys think i could get away with just doing the front? my friend (who knows a lot about cars) said we could do it that way cause something about a dynamic braking system where if one of the calipers/lines breaks it doesnt affect both sides, it only affects the one side..... idk lol but were gonna be doing the brakes tomorrow and i just wanna see if anyone here has gotten away with bleeding JUST the fronts.
Thanks!

Being a front-wheel drive, I believe the Alero has a diagonal split brake system. The front left and back right run on one reservoir, and the front right and back left on the other. In that case if you replaced both front calipers you would probably need to bleed the whole system.

^Thanks dude.....
On a side note i tried to screw the new banjo bolts in that i ordered and their too big.....im soooooo mad right now...... idk what to do.....

When I did mine I just gravity bled the fronts. That was going on 6 years ago (wow, that long?!?) Not saying that's the way you should do it, but it worked acceptably for me.
When i swap the rears next year I'll do the whole system and probably swap in some superblue or SRF.
