How Fast U Think I Could Do The 1/4

i am going to go do the 1/4 for the first time. all i have done to my car is cai and exhaust what are ur guys estamations for how fast i do the 1/4 in ?

Low 15's is my guess, we'll see in a few weeks!

i used to have the exact numbers from Car and Driver, but i think sl is pretty close. But those numbers are taken from a brand new Alero, and if your name and sig are correct, the wear and tear your engine has obtained over the past 5 years might slow ya down, but since you have a CAI and exhaust (not sure if you mean a system or just a muffler), you may break dead even. Plus being your first time at the track, nervousness might effect your RT and lack of a good launch technique will definitely have an effect. Get a good 60 foot and I'll say a best of 15.4. Get a crappy 60foot i'll say a best of 15.7 But who knows There is Altitude track temp and a million other factors. Only way to know is to find out. Good luck.

We'll be running at about 4500 feet. The alero has about 50,000 miles on it.

i know i'm not a 3.4 guy...but didn't u say u had a massive sound system too? like 8 or 10 subs or something...that would def kill ur time...

He has three 10's but is going to take them out before he gets to the track.

Pending on humidty temp and attlitude and if you run down your gas tank to below 1/2 or to a 1/4 and remove your subs, spare, and jack.

With stockers I'd say about 15.60 to about 16 flat

K altitude is actually 4900 feet. Also would race gas help the 3400? I'm going to try it in the GTP.

Yeah, it all depend on where you are racing. We Toronto guys get good times (15.47 for Blackouts stock 3400) due to low elevation. So I can't really guess what you'd get exactly

Not really. I used race gas to see if I was getting real or fake knock. the only Performance gain I saw was from the 5.5 Less degrees of knock.

4900' is a very high altitude. At that level, you might not get out of the 16's, even with the mods.

Yeah clubgp is predicting low 15's for the GTP. Stupid altitude!!

At 4900 feet, a car that might normally run 15.5 at sea level will only run 16.5 seconds at altitude (15.5 secs x 1.0646 factor = 16.5 seconds). A car capable of running 15-flat will have an actual ET of roughly 15.969. You can also do the conversion in reverse with actual ET converted down to sea level equivalent.

Weather conditions, including relative altitude (air quality & density), obviously will factor into your ET but the conversion formula will still stay relatively consistent.

Yeah I had been to that site before. Looks to be about one second differance for this altitude.
