I'm jealous...the only time I've seen snow recently is over thanksgiving break, and I was building a barn so snow wasnt a good thing

12-01-2010, 08:57 PM
cavalier - i know it is great for picture taking i love it! but only for a certain amount of time.
03sleepr - dont be jealous lol i mean its cool but when you gotta deal with it for about 4 months it gets old. :p expecially because i hate driving my car when there is salt all over the roads.

Snowed a bit here on Thanksgiving day, not much. To make a decent snowball to needed to take the snow off about 5 cars ;)
Car looks good, lose the gay retarded Audi wanna be lights and it will look great ;)
IMHO, I even think they look retarded on Audis

hahaha i might i havent decided yet. i need more responses on em. and the only reason they are there is because i hit a raccoon and broke my driver fog light, the hole where it mounts is stripped to so it doesnt hold and those were just to replace it cause i dont have fog lights now.
i appreciate the honest opinion though. :)

Nice pics! What temp low beam HIDs do you have?
sleepyalero
12-01-2010, 11:07 PM
thanks phil!
they aren't actually HID's. i always hear people having problems with there HID kits, so i just got HID look bulbs. i love em, they are 5900k superwhite but look blue..
got the low and high beam bulbs together (5900k) for 14$ on ebay! :)

12-01-2010, 11:17 PM
are they bright? I'd like to switch over to those if they're as bright/brighter than stock (not sure what brand I have in now)
edit: on a side note your tails drive me crazy, not sure if its just that pic..but the outside is lighter than the inside...I do love how you have the reverse light showing though
whiterider00
12-02-2010, 01:31 AM
kinda liking the leds in the front. also liking the tails and exhaust. hate those wheels tho.
sleepyalero
12-02-2010, 02:15 AM
03sleepr - yeah they are bright i like em. i dont have problems with em. only thing is when roads are wet its hard to see the light reflects off water but im used to it.
yeah i know the outside is a bit lighter.. but if it was as dark as the inside i would get rearended. if i changed the angle a bit you wouldnt have noticed..
i didnt notice in on my phone till i posted the pic up on here. but i saw it was lighter a week after i did it. you can only tell when you are close to it tho.
whiterider - thanks on the likes! and the wheels ehh they are okay looking to get new ones at some point when i have the money, those are just what my uncle got put on when i bought the car off of him.
i want black with a chrome lip or blue lip, cause im going for a black and blue theme..
intake, 3400sfi, calipers, spark wires, headlight bulbs, all blue.

Pics look great!! We had flurries, but nothing that stuck. Also, not nearly as much as what you got. I really like the LED's where the fog lights go, it's looks awesome! Now I can't wait for snow and to shoot some pics. Keep up the good work!

rkl84 - thanks i appreciate it!
fuzzy - yeah i might sell them, the clear coat is coming off of them though cause of salt and stuff being used through winters, (uncle dented to stock rims hit a pot hole had no choice to get new rims) but they still clean up pretty nice. i might use them just as a winter set once i get new ones, not sure yet though but i will let you know!
kwhauck - yeah i know its not much at all haha.
jhubbz - looks like you didnt get much snow either. :p

Yeah u don't ave to worry about rocks on the road here, we don't travel dirt roads because they lead to small townships whit shat roads n no point going, we have a lot of vacant local property with great asphalt that gets a perfect ice sheen on it that's a true test of skill when attempted at the right time. And obviously i have a family but they are not always here (son & lady ) so i do get my time to go have some fun. Always obey local speed laws even if ours are 55mph on a 1 mile VERY residential road with average 300Ft between homes....Silly people....

sleepyalero
12-06-2010, 06:45 PM
bmxer - when you get it put a rockcrusher in it and a big blower coming out of the hood!
ive always wanted a 68 charger r/t to restore.
Lonnie - heres the deal. i have mesh where the old fog lights used to be. i cut off the sockets for the fogs so it just left wire. (if i need i can reconnect them at anytime)
i got the leds from autozone. for 15$ just wired em to my stock fog light wiring. and then ran the wire thru the mesh and the back of the led strips come with 3M tape. just stuck it on the front of the mesh. :p
did this cause fog lights were/are pretty expensive, plus i like the way it look at dusk with just fog lights (leds) and parking lights on.

I've owned a 97' Dodge Stratus, a 96' Ford Taurus, a 90' Lincoln Town Car, and now own a 95' Pontiac Trans Am, and a 04' Alero and I have NEVER had anyone hit my car or have I hit anything, well 1 reverse into a light post but that was in the big ass Taurus. I am really surprised how well people actually treat their cars and other peoples around here. But DAM that's a nice hitch hit.

In MinneSNOWta, we've been getting just hammered with snow. One night it even rained and left the roads with a nice layer of solid ice on them. I felt like I was driving a Zamboni. Haha. The current totals around where I live are about 19 inches on the ground still. In the southern region of Minnesota, some areas are as high as 36 inches still on the ground. We've had a couple snow emergencies already and the local news suggests another 7"-14" inches over New Years...
