I finally got around to taking some pics of my car. This is still a work in progress so she's not 100% yet. The bra is covering up some damage on the front bumper and that's its only purpose as I dont care too much for it. It also covers up the crappy peeling of the paint as a result of going to Maaco after a previous accident. The rear needs a good repaint as well. I want to replace the hood in the future because it has a dent in it and it doesn't close properly. I intend on updating this thread as I do more mods. I hit 200,000 KMs on November 20th 2010:yahoo:

Mods:
Gauge cluster, 55W 6000k HIDs in the headlights, 35W 6000k for the fogs, CAI, tuned PCM, Rockford Fosgate sub, amp and speakers, and Viper 5601 Alarm/Starter

In total I would say it took me 4+ hours to do. I pulled off the gauge overlays and i used Goo gone to removed any adhesive left on the back of them. Theres some blue stuff on the back of the overlays which makes it illuminate green that I had to sand down. Then I took some colored vinyl and pasted it on the back of the overlay to get the desired colors I chose. I also replaced the stock bulbs with white LEDs.

Are those LEDs in your tails?

Yes they are.

What LEDs are they? and about how bright are they compared to stock?

Tell me about it. The check engine light is off now. I asked the guy that tuned my pcm to turn it off because the code was minor and it wasn't a manditory fix. As for the SVS, Track off and ABS, its most likely the wheel bearing hub sensor, yet an unnecessary fix. I want to know if there's a way to turn those lights off permanently.(aside from sticking some electrical tape over it lol)

The bulbs are 3057 bulbs. I bought them off ebay. I didnt really notice a difference compared to stock, but I didnt really do a real comparison.

Lose the bra cover on the hood. It will gouge a line in your paint faster than you can say ooow.

One thing I've noticed is that people don't usually run their winter tires on aluminum wheels.

I got my winter tires used for free and they came on steelies. Cant argue with free winter tires that are like new :). I think steelies are fugly.

true steelies are fugly but its better then beating the hell outta good rims for a few months

I don't know what you guys do in winter, because I run my aluminum rims all winter long, and I did on my old truck too, and I was never nice to that thing, but I've never seen any negative effects on the rims do to winter driving.

lol I bought another set of OEM Rims for my Malibu from the junkyard for cheaper than I could get 15 inch steelies

Nice Alero man!

i changed mine on all my other cars because the plow drivers around here SUCK BALLS and don't actually do what they are supposed to so i've destroyed rims on storm drains it gets expensive getting factory alloys

They salt the roads where I live. My alloys never showed any signs of rusting, but the steelies are looking like crap. Once winter is over and done with I'm just going to switch to aftermarket rims. My alloys currently have crappy Canadian tire motomaster tires that only lasted me a year.

Actually the entirety of your aluminum rims are rusted... Thing is aluminum rust looks exactly like normal aluminum, and unlike iron(steel), the rust sticks to the metal very strongly, instead of flaking off.

FYI I'm a chemistry major in college right now.
