Then no, you'd have an extremely hard time pulling that out, without a lift, a crane/engine lift, and other assorted tools, let's put it this way, i'd pay the 300$ to have someone pull MY motor... that's how much it sucks

It's really not that hard get 2 friends over open up a dirty 30 drink a few beers while the tranny fluid drains unbolt the mount than unbolt it from the block and have a jack in the middle of it and slowly lower it down. Took me and my friends under a night to do it my first time.

$300 is really cheap to have a transmission pulled and reinstalled.

Good choice...I wouldn't even think of messing with pulling an engine without a crane..I have no idea how much one of these engines weigh..but I dont want to find out

I estimate the block without heads to be 250ish. I had a 3400 short block with 2 of the head bolts installed in the block and a chain attached to the two (so that a crane could lift up the chain and transport the block). I lifted the chain when the block was on the ground and it was a little heavier than when i do a farmers walk at the gym. I use 100 lb dumbbells for the walk.

I would of pay him $300 to swap the tranny instead of rebuildin it... you can find an 04 for like 350.. =$650

But, you don't necessarily know what kind of abuse that one has been through.
