I can already imagine the amount of flaming I'm going to get for this one, lol. I searched the site and didn't come up with anything, but it's 3 a.m. so it's more than likely something I didn't type. However, I'm EXTREMELY interested in changing my automatic Alero to a 5-speed. I understand that the process will be extremely time-consuming, difficult, and probably not even possible, but if there is a shred of a hope, I would really like to know. Money really isnt a factor here, I can afford to do it, it's just a matter of if its possible, and how if it is. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate the help. That'll get me started with what I need to buy and the like, so I guess I'll start looking for parts now. Thanks again! If anyone else has their two cents, please cash them in.

well I've thought about this too. I may end up getting the completely rebuilt enging off RSM racing (if its good, havn't looked into it yet) and having that made for a 5-spd, then buying a 5-spd tranny from a junkyard, that way I would be replacing the whole front clip.

Im basically thinking it shouldn't be all that hard, since they already made a 5-speed 2001 Alero. Im guessing it's gonna take some time, and patience, but altogether should be a worthy investment. Who knows.
