I got a letter in the mail today and I was curious to see if anyone else got this.
Dear Ms. ME,
This notice is to inform you that your Oldsmobile factory vehicle warranty has expired, or may be about to expire, depending on your current miles. However, we have just introduced a new affordable extended warranty program that has been proven to save customers like you, thousands of dollars in repair bills. You have been assigned owner ID number blah blah blah... for this program.
Ms. ME, call us immediately with the exact miles and VIN number on your Oldsmobile to discuss options and take advantage of our current limited time offer.
Due to the extreme nature of this program, we can make this offer available for 72 hours only. This exlusive program will not be announced to the general public.
Choose the plan that's right for you: Up to 7 years or 125,000 miles.
Option A covers: Engine, Fuel system, Transmission/transaxle and drive train componets. Even if the failure results from ordinary wear and tear & much, much, more.
Option B includes all of option A plus: Steering, front suspension, brakes, electrical and air conditioning systems, even if failure results from ordinary wear and tear. Rental car coverage & much, much, more.
Option C, includes both options A and B, Our bumper to bumper coverage:
Engine cooling system, computers and much more even if failure results from ordinary wear and tear. 24-hour roadside assistance including towing, flat tire change, battery jump, out of gas fuel delivery and locksmith/key service.
---------------------------------------
Now what I don't understand, is why does it say that this offer is only available for 72 hours? Just doesn't sound right to me. It doesn't have an actual name of the warranty or anything. Doesn't say anything about GM either, just DS (Dealer Services). This may be all good, I don't know. I was just wondering if anyone else has got anything like this. Any input would be nice. Thanks in advance :)
