So I picked up a 2.4 in good shape from a junkyard, going to swap engines. I bought an engine stand, but I don't know which side bolts to the arms of it. Are the mounting locations on the side of the engine with the belt accessories or the flywheel side?

Thanks ion, any chance you know the bolt size and thread count? Also which of the seven bolt holes around the flywheel should be used?

if you are just swapping the motor you don't need an engine stand, just let it hang from the cherry picker while you are swapping accessories. I have done it twice in the last month, no need for a motor stand.....

I'm going to rebuild the old engine, so the stand will be a big help.

Just use bolt holes that are used for where you mount the tranny. Get some heavy duty nuts and bolts.. slappy slap, ready to go.
