i have the electrical gauge how do i go about hooking it up where is the stock one located?

Umm... what brand gauge is it... what does it come with... what the hell are you working with? How are we supposed to know what parts you have to install?

If it's just a gauge with wires to tap to the ECT sensor just tap the wires.. if it comes with its own sensor, find a way to stick it in the coolant hose.

ok sorry its the equus gauge from oreylis its got 3 fittings with a small sensor fitting that hooks in the back of the picked fittings. its going on a 3.4l 2000 alero. i need to know where i might be able to hook it up thank you

can i maybe tap into the coolant hose? will i be able to put it in the coolant hose without ruining the hose?

what if i drilled an appropriate hole then put the tape around my fitting so it didnt leak and screwed the fitting into the hose?

http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/Water-Hose-Adapters.aspx thats what i used it has a 1/8th sensor hole i got the 38mm one which fit into my ld9 upper rad hose with no problems.

No. That will leak. Get an adapter like Caboose73 showed you.

Best place for a water temp sensor is in the manifold, however there is no ports in the manifold to do this.

You cannot replace the stock sensor with your aftermarket one, the OE sensor aslo controls the fans.

If you really need 2 water gauges, I would suggest going to Home Depot or Lowes and buy a male/female/female tee fitting ;)

where is the stock water sensor fitting? located any pictures?

I have no pics now, I'm at work.

It is located on the driver's side in front of the intake tubing before the hose that goes to the raditor. It has a plug with 2 wires on it.;)
