Does anybody know what the bare block of the 3400 weighs?

Is it light enough for me to pick up on my own? Put in the trunk of my Alero?

I'm looking for a bare 3400 block and the crank, don't need anything else :D

no idea on the weight but definately it can be picked up and loaded on your own, I did!! two blocks and cranks in the trunk of the corolla which is smaller than the alero....

I recommend putting a sheet of plywood or planks of lumber over the spare tire well. Hauled the tranny that way....make sure it can't slide if you slam on the brakes, though.

The block is roughly 106 pounds (that's what the small-bore block weighs)

two guys can move a fully dressed 3400. You should be able to manhandle a bare block into the trunk.

Yep, I just moved my block around when I got it prepped for the build. No issues. I wouldn't recommend moving it for any distance if you have back problems though.
