helpp!! i hate my alero haha security light question

hey sorry i dident put this in the right section but i need help .. ok i repleaced my ighniton switch easy simple to do thing alrite then i go to do the relearn steps but the security light is on solid not flashing i tryed the steps about 4 times still the light is on .... should i disconect the batt then try it all over again?

yes the key is new

Disconnect the battery overnight, check the wiring, the reconnect the battery and do the relearn. That solved my problem when I changed mine.
